Details: The security guard at the premises was injured but did not require hospitalisation.

"This is the third time this building has been damaged since the start of the full-scale war. Experts are currently assessing the damage and dealing with the aftermath of the strike," Pishchanska wrote.

Around 100 employees of the Accounting Chamber worked in the damaged building. It housed two audit departments – one responsible for the state budget, financial institutions and debt, and the other for the humanitarian and social sectors – as well as the Accounting Chamber's territorial office in Kyiv.

The Accounting Chamber continues to operate and carry out its duties. The building is temporarily not fit for purpose, so the body is quickly arranging additional workspaces in other premises.
Background:
- A Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv on the night of 18-19 October damaged the building of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities.
- On 14 October, the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) launched an independent competition to select new members of the Accounting Chamber. This is a condition for financial assistance to Ukraine from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund.
