Details: The date of the strike was not disclosed.

"The enemy tried to protect this vehicle as much as possible – equipping it with electronic warfare equipment and welding anti-drone cages onto it – but Raid's drone successfully struck it," the regiment said.

Raid noted that BREM-1 vehicles are designed to recover or repair tanks and other heavy equipment in the field after they have been disabled by Ukrainian drones.

Quote: "Meanwhile, vehicles of this type are in short supply in the enemy army. Despite producing large numbers of tanks, Russia has been struggling to provide adequate support for their maintenance and recovery."

Background:

  • The Russians have previously presented an upgraded BREM-80 armoured recovery vehicle. It claims that mass production of the upgraded vehicle is underway and that deliveries to the military have begun.
  • The upgraded BREM-80 has completed a full cycle of testing. The Russians said some aspects of the vehicle's design, intended for recovering damaged equipment, have been modified.
