Details: Tsahkna noted that the new contribution takes the total amount of Estonian aid to Ukraine via PURL to €31 million.
Quote from Tsahkna: "This will help Ukraine obtain urgently needed air defence and ammunition. This year, Estonia's military assistance to Ukraine amounts to 0.3% of our GDP."
Details: The foreign minister promised that the Estonian government will continue to support Ukraine.
Quote: "Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure have left hundreds of thousands without power. With winter approaching, this support is vital to protecting lives and keeping essential services running. The stronger Ukraine can defend itself, the less Russia can dictate the terms of peace. We must keep supporting Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russia."
Background:

- Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal stated recently that Russia wants Europe to focus on its own problems and be distracted from supporting Ukraine.
- In a recent interview with European Pravda, Estonian Defence Minister Martin Herem responded to accusations that NATO has an interest in prolonging the war in Ukraine, emphasising the need to support Ukraine so that it wins the war.
