"Unfortunately, almost every day, these brutal strikes leave people killed and injured," Zelenskyy said.

Four people were killed in Russian attacks on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on the evening of 24 October. Another 22 people were injured, including an 11-year-old girl.

In Vinnytsia, a Russian drone struck an apartment building, injuring six people.

In Kharkiv, Russian forces first struck a home improvement superstore and then carried out a repeat strike on emergency services that had arrived at the scene. Rescue workers were injured.

Quote: "There were also strikes overnight on a thermal power plant, substations, coal mines, grain storage facilities, shopping malls and a postal logistics hub. Damage has been reported in nine regions. [...]

We need to unblock the deliveries of Patriot interceptors already approved by European countries. We need to continue supporting Ukrainian combat aviation to defend against jet-powered Shaheds. Every such defence package, especially ahead of winter, helps save lives."

Background:

  • An outage caused by an emergency has left parts of the Holosiivskyi, Solomianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Kyiv without electricity.
  • An energy facility was struck in Vinnytsia Oblast, triggering emergency power cuts in one district of the oblast.
