Russia strikes Zaporizhzhia's largest shopping centre – photos
Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia on the morning of 26 October, damaging City Mall, the city's largest shopping centre.
Source: Mykhailo Semikin, acting head of Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration, on Telegram
Details: Semikin did not name the shopping centre, but the photographs he posted show that City Mall was hit. Its website describes it as "the largest European-style shopping and entertainment complex in Zaporizhzhia".
Semikin said the centre had been closed at the time of the strike. A fire broke out after the attack.
City Mall suspended operations in September following a strike on the nearby Epicentr home improvement superstore.
Background: A Russian attack on the night of 6-7 September effectively destroyed Zaporizhzhia's City Mall, where a fire broke out.
