Units of Ukraine's defence forces struck three air defence assets on Russian territory and a military supplies depot in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk Oblast on 27 October and on the night of 27-28 October.

Details: The General Staff reported that the following targets were hit:

  • a Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system near Rzhava in Russia's Kursk Oblast
  • a radar near the settlement of Maloye Gorodkovo, also in Kursk Oblast
  • an electronic warfare station near the settlement of Semyachki in Russia's Bryansk Oblast
  • a Russian military supplies depot near Valerianivka in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk Oblast.

Quote: "Why this matters: Every air defence system, radar or electronic warfare station hit creates a temporary gap in the enemy's air defence network. The more gaps there are, the greater the opportunities for Ukraine's defence forces to deploy unmanned systems at all levels."
