Details: Zelenskyy thanked the UK for its continued support for Ukraine and for a new decision to provide an additional £10 billion (€11.9 billion) in financial assistance.
Quote: "Today, Britain made a strong decision to provide an additional £10 billion in financial support – £7 billion in economic support over the next three years, and another £3 billion in British export support, primarily for the supply of much-needed weapons that will strengthen our protection of lives. This is on top of the annual support Britain already provides to Ukraine."
Details: Zelenskyy described the aid as "a very timely step" that should show Russia that Ukraine will not be left alone.
"Every step to strengthen Ukraine brings Russia closer to realising that it must end this war of its own making," he noted.
The conversation with Burnham also covered sanctions against Russia. Zelenskyy stressed that the UK remains firm on sanctions against Moscow.
