EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarína Mathernová has urged foreign journalists and leading Western media outlets not to look away from events in Ukraine or stop reporting on the escalation of Russian terror.

Details: Leading Ukrainian journalists have appealed to their international colleagues and influential Western media outlets not to look away from events in Ukraine. Mathernová said she supports their appeal.

Quote: "Paradoxically, war fatigue is taking hold just as Russia escalates its attacks on Ukraine's civilians and energy infrastructure to unprecedented levels, ahead of forthcoming winter. Ukraine needs the democratic world's full attention now, including tougher sanctions against Russia and unwavering support for Ukraine."

Details: Over the past 24 hours, Russia has carried out more than 20 attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, targeting energy facilities in 10 oblasts. Missiles, guided aerial bombs and jet-powered drones were used, Mathernová stressed.

"War fatigue is a luxury we cannot afford while Ukrainian children face the cold and Ukrainian civilians die defending the European values we share," the ambassador added.
