Russians launch propaganda Shahed drone to drop leaflets on Kyiv
A propaganda Shahed drone on its way to Kyiv with inflammatory propaganda materials containing a QR code that leads to a phishing trap was shot down over Ukraine on the evening of 4 November.
Source: Robert "Magyar" Brovdi, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces
Quote: "This evening, a Russian drone was shot down near the combat positions of the Birds of the 427th Rarog Separate Brigade of the Unmanned Systems Forces that was carrying a stack of enemy propaganda leaflets along with its warhead."
Details: According to Magyar, the leaflets contain a call to join a "Ukrainian volunteer brigade" within the Russian Armed Forces. He also posted a photo of a leaflet calling on people to "stop the lawlessness of military recruiters".
He urged people not to scan the QR codes on such leaflets, as this could be a Russian trap to steal data or infect smartphones with a virus.
