Details: The Dutch charitable foundation Music for Ukraine, which was founded by accordionist and Poltava Oblast native Oleh Lysenko, handed over 10 vehicles to soldiers of the 3rd Army Corps at an event that took place in the main square of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War.
The handover of the vehicles took place in the presence of Yurii Savchuk, the museum's director.
Yurii met Oleh during a joint event held by the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War and the Dutch National Museum of the Eighty Years' War.
Quote from Yurii: "Oleh Lysenko provided the musical accompaniment for the event at the time. He lives in the Netherlands, but has maintained his ties to Ukraine. I was impressed by this, so we began collaborating. For a year now, our museum has been assisting with the delivery of vehicles to Ukraine."
For reference: Oleh Lysenko was born in Poltava Oblast, later qualified as an accordionist at the Kyiv Conservatory and subsequently moved to the Netherlands, where he has lived for over 25 years. In 2022, together with his wife Sanne van Vuuren, Oleh founded the Music for Ukraine foundation.
Since February 2022, Oleh has performed over 400 charity concerts in the Netherlands, raising more than €3.5 million in support of Ukraine.
The funds were mostly allocated to purchasing medical vehicles. Over this time, the foundation has delivered more than 278 resuscitation vehicles, evacuation vehicles and units of medical equipment to the Ukrainian military. Assistance was provided to over 120 military units, as well as Ukrainian hospitals.
This time, 10 vehicles were directed to the 3rd Army Corps. Yevhen "Avdiei" Avdieienko, cornet of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, accepted the vehicles.
The event took place on the grounds of the war museum, at the foot of the Mother Ukraine monument.
