New Name for Boryspil Airport to Be Chosen by Online Voting

Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan announced that open online voting for the new name for Boryspil International Airport will start in a week.
He wrote on his Facebook that hearings on this issue that involved Verkhovna Rada deputies, the director of Boryspil airport, representatives of state-owned aircraft manufacturer Antonov, Boryspil city council, the Airports of Ukraine Association, and Kyiv City State Administration have just ended.
During the hearings it was decided that the airport could be named after Ukrainian-American aviation engineer Igor Sikorsky, abstract painter of Ukrainian and Polish descent Kazimir Malevich, Ukrainian aircraft designer Oleg Antonov, or the author of the national anthem of Ukraine Pavlo Chubynsky.
The minister said that the change of name was possible only after broad public discussion, and that Ukrainians needed to ‘think big’ when considering their preferences.

В последнее время среди топ-чиновников распространилась какая-то зараза. Внешне проявляется в синдроме незанятого делом пса, попросту говоря, когда нехрен делать, яйца лижет. Т.е. не совсем лижет - переимееновывает, но по эффективности одинаково. Или министр считает, что в его ведомстве все действительно важные проблемы решены?

Аеропорт ,,Бориспіль,, має чудову назву, яка не містить у собі комуністичноі символіки і не підпадає під дію закону про декомунізацію. Навіщо перейменовувати ,,Бориспіль,,?! Якщо навіть не знають, яке прізвище причепити, то жодне з них не приживеться. Ніхто не згадує про те, що донецький аеропорт має прізвище композитора Прокофьєва, його називають просто Аеропорт. А у столичного аеропорту є назва і не треба іі знищувати! Руки геть від ,,Борисполя,,!

Ну так вже муляє міністру це перейменування! Наче іншої роботи нема! Дорогами б займався, було б більше користі. Але подорогах треба працювати, а не базікати...
