Armed Forces of Ukraine restrain Russian offensive, hit 17 air targets in a day - summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces

On the 28th day of the war, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are restraining the attack of Russian troops on Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Popasna, Malyn and are defending Chernihiv, Mariupol, Mykolaiv and the Black Sea coast. During the past 24 hours, 17 enemy air targets were hit, including 6 aircrafts.

Details: The Defence Forces continue to conduct a defence operation in the eastern, south-eastern and north-eastern fronts.

In the eastern front, troops operate in Donetsk, Slobozhansky and the eastern part of the Tavriya operational districts. They do not allow the Russian invaders to resume the offensive in the direction of Slovyansk and the settlement of Lozova. They are restraining the advance of the invaders in the direction of Zaporizhzhia.

The combined forces are holding back the advance of the invading troops towards the towns of Popasna and Kurakhove. They carry out the circular defence of Mariupol.

In the north-eastern front, the defence operation continues in the designated operational zone. The main efforts are focused on covering the state border, deterring the invading offensive in the area of the settlement of ​​Malyn.
In the Sivers'kyi region, Ukrainian troops are holding the defence of Chernihiv and hindering the advance of the enemy in the direction of Kyiv.

A defensive operation is being carried out in the south-eastern front, the actions of ground groups of troops and individual units are being supported, and bases and seaports in the Black Sea Operational Zone are being defended. The defence of the city of Mykolaiv and settlements of the Mykolaiv region continues.

Ukrainian defence forces are holding back the invaders in the directions of Kryvyi Rih and Novovorontsovka, conducting a stabilising operation, and performing tasks of territorial defence.

Active actions of invaders’ aircraft and missile strikes have been noted in the last 24 hours.

Details: In the territory of the Russian Federation, covert mobilisation continues in order to replenish the losses of the personnel of the Russian invading troops conducting the war on the territory of Ukraine. Military commissariats are trying to attract former servicemen to serve and sign relevant contracts, preference is given to those who already have combat experience.

On the territory of Belarus, representatives of opposition forces and concerned citizens who condemn aiding and abetting the war with Ukraine have partially disrupted the railway connection between Belarus and Ukraine. The information is being verified.
