Swiss journalist Guillaume Briquet was taken to Kropyvnyts'kyy Hospital after his vehicle was shot near the village of Vodyano-Loryne in the Mikhailov region by Russian invading forces who then robbed him.

Details: Briquet, a Swiss citizen and independent journalist, was working in the Mykolaiv region covering the war.

The journalist said that, on 6 March, while driving toward Mykolaiv, his armoured vehicle was shot at close range by Russian soldiers.

Verbatim: "They clearly saw that the vehicle was being used by the press. It had markings on it".

Details: Several bullets hit the glass, causing damage. The journalist received wounds to his face and forearm. After the shooting, he pulled over to the side of the road, and the Russian soldiers approached the vehicle, introduced themselves and searched him.

After that, they confiscated 3,000 euros in cash and his passport, personal belongings, helmet, camera footage and laptop before finally releasing him.

He got in his vehicle and drove toward Kropyvnyts'kyy for medical aid. The injured man was met at a checkpoint by police officers, who took him to the hospital.
