On Monday (4 April), one of six Russian helicopters in Belarus - that took off from the "Zyabrovka" military airfield in the Gomel region bound for "Shatalovo" military airfield in Smolensk Oblast in Russia - deviated from its course. This helicopter headed to the border crossing between Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.

Details: Intercepted conversations of the Russian Air Force revealed that 6 helicopters of the Russian Air Force, bound for the "Shatalovo" military airfield (Smolensk Oblast, Russian Federation), took off from the military airfield "Zyabrovka" (Gomel Oblast, Belarus) at about 20:00 on 4 April.

After that, one of the Russian helicopters with registration number RF-04812 deviated from its course towards Russia and headed to the south/southeast, towards the border of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.

The remaining helicopters began to return. The helicopter with registration number RF-90665 has been circling the Gomel region of Belarus for an hour, attempting to find and catch up with the other helicopter, but has not found it.

The record shows that the pilot of one of the helicopters and the dispatcher tried to contact the missing crew at least 25 times. The exact location of the helicopter is currently unknown.
