Details: During the visit, Vavryniuk inspected the organisation of the border guard service, which ensures the inviolability of the border on a daily basis under martial law. Particular attention was paid to the readiness of units to respond to potential threats and to further strengthening defence capabilities.

The major general reviewed the state of engineering fortifications along the state border and the fortification infrastructure in Volyn and Rivne oblasts. He also focused on the operation of command and observation posts, the level of organisation in remote areas and at observation posts, as well as the provision of the necessary equipment and weapons to personnel.

During the visit, Vavryniuk also travelled to hard-to-reach sections of the border, including marshland and water areas, where he received detailed briefings on how the service is organised in those sectors.
Following the visit and a joint meeting, priority tasks aimed at strengthening border protection were identified and received by the border guard units. These include further engineering fortification of all sections of the border, enhancing the technical capabilities of units, including remote video surveillance systems, improving counter-UAV measures, maintaining continuous monitoring of the situation and ensuring readiness to respond rapidly to any changes.

- Russia recently staged a provocation by accusing Ukraine of launching a drone attack on a bus carrying Belarusian children in Russia's Bryansk Oblast.
- Self-proclaimed Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko described the alleged strike as "a violation of agreements and the rules of warfare by certain countries".
