Details: On May 3, the Russian invaders prevented Yurii Chernichuk, the chief engineer of the Zaporozhzhia nuclear power plant, from leaving Enerhodar. He was supposed to be taking part in a meeting of the Council of Chief Engineers of "Energoatom" [National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine].

He was detained on the way out of Enerhodar and taken away from the checkpoint for interrogation.

"As a result, he and other ZNPP heads are forbidden to leave the city. Even if this is required by work, on which the security of not only the region but of the entire continent depends," said the Zaporozhzhia Regional Military Administration.
