As the department said, most of these children are orphans or deprived of parental care.

"The Ministry of Reintegration has currently developed a special algorithm for what to do if you become aware of the illegal transfer of an orphaned child to the temporarily occupied territory or the Russian Federation," the Ministry of Reintegration reports.

The Cabinet of Ministers is also developing changes to the mechanism for adopting children under martial law, as this procedure is currently impossible in Ukraine.

However, the "The child is not alone" chatbot has been launched in Ukraine, with the help of which you can register your willingness to temporarily shelter a child in your family.

You can read more about how children live in temporary families in the article: "If the mother is not found, we will adopt him." Stories of children who find temporary families during the war.

Daria Herasymchuk, the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Rights of Children and Children Rehabilitation, has reported that by the end of August, the "adoption" service will appear in the "Diia" application [a mobile application which has various online services for citizens of Ukraine and which enables the use of digital documents via smartphones instead of physical ones], which is designed to simplify this process.
