Ukrainian intelligence warns of possible Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia – Ministry of Defence of Ukraine

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Russian occupying forces may try to go on the offensive in the area of Zaporizhzhia and try to surround the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Quote from Maliar: "On the Zaporizhzhia and Novopavlivka fronts, according to the Chief Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence, it is not ruled out that the enemy will conduct offensive actions in the area of Zaporizhzhia and/or carry out an encircling manoeuvre in the areas of Velyka Novoselivka-Pokrovske, obviously with the aim of surrounding our units.

Nor is it excluded that for this purpose units of the Russian occupying forces will be reinforced by at least 5 battalion-tactical groups on the specified front."

Details: Maliar added that on the Kryvyi Rih and Mykolaiv fronts, the Russian invaders will try to hold the captured territories of the right-bank area of Kherson Oblast and will conduct subversion and reconnaissance actions on the coast of Odesa and Mykolaiv oblasts.

According to Maliar, the Russian army is currently conducting military operations of attrition.
