Russian forces trying to advance on two fronts – General Staff report

The Russian forces are mounting offensives on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts and are attempting to establish control over more territory on the western outskirts of the city of Donetsk [which is already controlled by the Russians - ed.].

Details: The Russian forces shelled military and civilian infrastructure near Yakovlivka, Kodema, Pokrovske, Rozdolivka, Vershyna, Bakhmut, and Soledar on the Bakhmut front. They conducted offensive and assault operations in order to improve their tactical positions, but were unsuccessful.

On the Avdiivka front, Russian troops fired artillery and tank guns on the areas in the vicinity of Pisky, Prechystivka, Shevchenko, Volodymyrivka, Novobakhmutivka, Nevelske, Netailove and Krasnohorivka. They conducted assault operations in the area: fighting continues. 

On the Kramatorsk front, the Russian forces fired on the areas in and around Siversk, Mykolaivka, Starodubivka, Spirne, Kryva Luka, Verkhnokamianske, Hryhorivka, Serebrianka, Raihorodok and Kalenyky using tubed and rocket artillery, as well as tank guns. There were a number of exchanges of gunfire in the area.

The Russians shelled the areas near Bohorodychnem Mazanivka, Husarivka, Adamivka, Kurulka, Khrestyshche, Sulyhivka, Dovhenke, and Velyka Komyshuvakha on the Sloviansk front.

On the Kharkiv front, the Russian forces used artillery of various calibres to fire on the areas in and around Kharkiv, Borshchova, Korobochkyne, Velyki Prokhody, Ruski Tyshky, Staryi Saltiv, Pryshyb, Tsyrkuny, Mospanove, and Bezruky.

Russian occupying forces did not undertake active combat operations on the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts, though they continued to exert regular fire on civilian and military infrastructure near Konstantynopil, Zaliznychne, Varvarivka, Vremivka, Marinka, Huliaipole, Huliaipilske, Mali Shcherbaky, Temyrivka, and Bilohiria.

Russia’s main efforts on the Pivdennyi Buh front are focused on preventing the Ukrainian forces from advancing. Russian forces continue to actively use UAVs to conduct aerial reconnaissance in the area.

The Russians shelled the areas in and around the towns and villages of Mykolaiv, Luch, Lymany, Nova Zoria, Novomykolaivka, Kobzartsi, Liubomyrivka, Kyselivka, Andriivka, Lozove, Bilohirka, Osokorivka, Potomkyne, and Zelenyi Hai.

In addition, they launched missiles on an infrastructure target near the town of Mykolaivka in Odesa Oblast.

Units of Belarusian Armed Forces continue to reinforce the security of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in Brest and Gomel oblasts (Belarus) on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. Combat readiness checks of the Belarusian Special Operations Forces were held.

On the Sivershchyna front, the Russian forces used tubed and rocket artillery to shell civilian infrastructure in and around Zaliznyi Mist, Hai, Hremiach, and Mykhalchyna Sloboda (Chernohiv Oblast) and Starykove (Sumy Oblast).
