The Red Cross Society of Ukraine has denied the report about their alleged decision to suspend their activities on the territory of Ukraine.
The Red Cross has said that they are working in an enhanced mode due to missile attacks on Ukrainian cities on 10 October, providing the injured with necessary aid.
They called a message about closing the Red Cross in Ukraine fake.
"Partners of the International Committee of the Red Cross also continue to work on the territory of Ukraine to help as many people as possible with joint efforts," the Red Cross stated.
Earlier, Reuters posted information about the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and at least one aid group suspended their fieldwork in Ukraine due to safety reasons on 10 October after Russia launched missiles on cities throughout Ukraine.
Andrii Kruhlashov, Head of the ICRC delegation, has clarified that it was referring to suspending operational activities only for 10 October.
"It means that today there are no trips to the fields to handing out product packages due to the safety situation," he wrote.
Kruhlashov also called the report about the ICRC stopping their activities in Ukraine fake.
Dmytro Lubinets, Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Ukrainian parliament), called on the International Committee of the Red Cross to use the right terms regarding Russia’s full-scale invasion in Ukraine. In particular, it asked that it refer to it not as "the Ukrainian crisis", but a war.
