Details: Zelenskyy noted that it was about 20 degrees and sunny in large parts of Ukraine on Saturday.

Quote: "Unfortunately, it was cloudy in Crimea, although it was also warm. But no matter what the clouds are, Ukrainians know what to do. And they know that our future is sunny. This is a future without invaders. Throughout our territory, and in particular in Crimea.

If the occupiers flee while they have a chance, this will be the best option for them."

More details: The President continued by remarking that if the occupiers are forced to stay, they can surrender to Ukrainian captivity.

"We will not leave any other options for the occupiers to rely on," he emphasised.

Background:

  • On the morning of 8 October, a traffic accident occurred on the railway line of the Crimean Bridge causing an intense fire.
  • The occupation authorities of Crimea stated that a truck exploded on the Crimean Bridge. Meanwhile, the so-called Head of the "Crimean Parliament", Volodymyr Konstantynov, said that the roadbed on the Crimean Bridge was damaged by "Ukrainian vandals".
  • Later, the occupiers announced that traffic across the Crimean Bridge had been restored for passenger cars and buses, and that the railway connection had also been restored.
