Details: Operational information says that unknown devices similar to explosive charges have been placed on the outer roof of the third and fourth power units of the ZNPP today.

According to the military, their detonation should not damage the power units, but it may create an image of a shelling by Ukrainian forces. Russian media and Telegram channels report such actions of their military, too.

"The Armed Forces of Ukraine do not violate the norms of international humanitarian law, monitor and control the situation and are ready to act under any conditions. No provocation by the enemy will pass," the General Staff emphasised.

Background: Earlier, Lieutenant General Serhii Naiev, Commander of the Joint Forces of Ukraine, reported that the Ukrainian defence forces are strengthening the northern border of the country with manpower and military equipment due to the latest events at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
