Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has imposed sanctions against individuals and companies that harm Ukraine's interests following a decision by Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council.

Details: The 43 individuals subject to sanctions include, in addition to Russian nationals, people holding Ukrainian or Latvian citizenship (in addition to the one of the Russian Federation).

Sanctions have also been imposed on 119 companies, mainly located in Russia, as well as on Avtodel GAZ Limited Liability Company, which operates in Russian-occupied Crimea.

In another decree, Zelenskyy imposed sanctions on 8 individuals (including citizens of Cyprus, Ukraine and Russia) and 15 companies, about half of them in occupied Crimea.

The sanctioned individuals’ assets on the territory of Ukraine have been blocked, their trade operations and resource transit through the country suspended, their licences cancelled, etc.
