According to an unnamed official, a group of six children will leave Moscow and head through Belarus to Ukraine.

One of the officials, on condition of anonymity, said that the mother of one 11-year-old boy is a soldier and is in Russian captivity. "His father died around a decade ago, and he will now stay with a maternal aunt. Until now, he had been living with relatives in the Russian-occupied Donetsk [Oblast]," the official added.

The group consists of children from 8 to 15 years. "Building on the momentum of recent weeks, Qatar continues to play a mediating role between the Ukrainian and Russian governments, successfully facilitating the reunification of six additional Ukrainian children with their families in time for the festive holidays," Al-Khater said.

Earlier: With the assistance of Qatar, Bohdan Yermokhin, a young man who had been deported from Mariupol to the Russian Federation, where he received a draft notice, made his way back to Ukraine.
