Ukraine's Air Force has shot down 21 of the 29 Russian kamikaze UAVs launched on Ukraine on the night of 4-5 January.

Quote: "The enemy launched an attack with Shahed UAVs on the night of 4-5 January 2024. It took place in two waves from the area of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation and Cape Chauda in [Russian-occupied] Crimea. A total of 29 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs were launched...

Air defence [systems] shot down 21 out of 29 kamikaze UAVs in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad and Khmelnytskyi oblasts."

Details: The report mentions that the Russians had deployed some of the drones in the frontline area of Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts. Ukraine's Air Force also noted that the vast majority of the Shaheds had been destroyed by mobile fire groups.
