"We are ready to protest, to shout at the top of our voices and, above all, to defend a free Slovakia! We are waiting for you on Friday to speak up together and loudly: SLOVAKIA IS EUROPE!" reads the announcement of the protest.

Background:

  • This is not the first time that Slovakia has protested against Robert Fico's policies. In late December 2024, Fico travelled to Moscow and met with Kremlin ruler Vladimir Putin.
  • Following Fico's visit to Moscow, the Mier Ukrajine association requested the Slovak Prosecutor General's Office to review the trip's legality.
