Background:

  • Earlier, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot called the meetings in Paris on Thursday 17 April a diplomatic success for France which had brought Americans, Europeans and Ukrainians together at the same table.
  • US Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg also reported on very productive meetings in Paris and posted a photo with Andrii Yermak, Head of the President's Office, and Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umierov.
