Details: On 18 April, the first flights departed from Chișinău (Moldova), where the company is currently based due to the closure of Ukrainian airspace, heading to Paris and Lisbon.
SkyUp’s flight schedule includes regular routes from Chișinău to 13 European cities: Paris, Lisbon, Nice, Barcelona, Alicante, Palma de Mallorca, Larnaca, Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Berlin, Prague and Stockholm.
SkyUp chose Chișinău as its base because of its proximity to Ukraine, "which makes it a logistically convenient and reliable solution for organising international routes".
Background: In December 2024, SkyUp Airlines announced the launch of a direct regular flight programme from Chișinău (Moldova) to popular European destinations for Ukrainians.
