Zelenskyy extends martial law and mobilisation for another 90 days

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed laws extending martial law in Ukraine and the period of general mobilisation for another 90 days, until 6 August.

Details: Under the provisions of the laws, martial law and general mobilisation will be extended from 05:30 on 9 May 2025 until 05:30 on 6 August 2025.

Background: 

• Earlier, the Ukrainian parliament extended martial law and mobilisation in Ukraine for another three months, until 6 August. 
• This was the 15th vote by the parliament to extend martial law and mobilisation since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
