Details: The decree, which comes into force from the moment of its signing, covers 87 entities and individuals, including 52 citizens of the Russian Federation. Restrictions have also been imposed on 34 Russian firms and one Chinese company.
The sanctioned entities have actively cooperated with a company that manufactures Shahed drones in the Republic of Tatarstan, a constituent entity of the Russian Federation. They have supplied components, equipment and materials required to produce kamikaze drones. The individuals and companies on the sanctions list have also been involved in providing production equipment to Russian defence firms.
Ukraine's imposition of sanctions may serve as a signal to Western countries, which also impose their own restrictions on Russian companies.
Background: When specialist personnel from Defence Intelligence of Ukraine examined a new MS-series Shahed-136 drone which had been shot down by Ukrainian defence forces in Sumy Oblast in June 2025, they found components that had been manufactured in the United States and Iran.
