Quote: "We anticipate a focused discussion on joint steps to adequately respond to Russia's rejection of peace efforts and escalating terror against Ukrainians. Moscow must feel a stronger pressure as the consequence of it prolonging the war."

Update: Later, an Alliance official told a European Pravda journalist that political advisers from NATO member state missions in Brussels will convene for an extraordinary meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council.

"We can confirm that a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council will take place at the level of political advisers. The meeting will be held in the afternoon," the source told European Pravda.

At such meetings, political advisers in the permanent missions of NATO countries usually do not make decisions, but instead discuss details, coordinate positions, and prepare draft texts of documents.
