The European College of Commissioners will hold a meeting in Brussels on 30 September dedicated to security issues. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will attend the event.

The European Pravda source said that on the morning of 30 September there will be a meeting of the European Commission's College on security matters, with the participation of Rutte.

They specified that the European Commissioners will, among other things, discuss plans for the EU's Readiness 2030 defence strategy.

Background:

  • Earlier, European Pravda reported that the agenda of the EU leaders' summit on 1 October has two points: Ukraine and the EU's defence strategy.
  • Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will join the informal meeting of EU leaders on 1 October in Copenhagen via video link, but will attend the European Political Community (EPC) summit there in person the following day.
