The transition of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to a corps-based structure has been completed, "despite some remaining nuances", according to Major General Andrii Hnatov, Chief of the Ukrainian General Staff.

Quote: "At this stage, the transition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to a corps structure has been completed. All newly formed corps are already carrying out tasks as part of designated groups.
There are, of course, nuances regarding manning, training and the changes already taking place within these structures. Well, we understand that a large and complex mechanism such as the Armed Forces of Ukraine is constantly evolving, and organisational measures are continuously underway.
I will add that the General Staff has organised and carried out extensive work on the simultaneous preparation of all ten newly created corps headquarters. Indeed, this required considerable effort, particularly the involvement of the most prepared representatives of the Armed Forces. Instructors from partner countries were also involved in preparing the personnel of the corps headquarters."
Details: Hnatov says that, in part thanks to the corps reform, Russian plans for a rapid offensive in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia oblasts and elsewhere have not been implemented.
He noted that the headquarters of the newly formed corps are staffed to required levels, enabling them to carry out combat (special) tasks as intended. In the meantime, Hnatov added that there will still be personnel changes.
Regarding wider changes to the Armed Forces' organisational structure, Hnatov reported that other measures are continuing simultaneously, particularly the establishment of Assault Forces and Cyber Forces within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
