Details: American officials said that the US will share intelligence as President Donald Trump's administration is considering supplying Kyiv with long-range weapons that would allow it to strike more targets inside Russia.

US officials are also asking NATO allies to provide similar support.

The WSJ noted that the United States has long been sharing intelligence with Kyiv, but Wednesday's report stated that thanks to new developments, Ukraine will find it easier to strike oil refineries, pipelines, power plants and other infrastructure in order to deprive the Kremlin of oil and revenue.

Previously: US Vice President JD Vance confirmed that Trump's administration is discussing the potential provision of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.

Background:

  • The media reported earlier that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed the supply of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine at a recent meeting with Donald Trump in New York.
  • Commenting on reports that he had asked Trump to provide Ukraine with Tomahawks, Zelenskyy said the US leader had received a request containing "details and illustrations" of Ukraine's needs.
