Details: Semenikhin wrote about a series of explosions in the city shortly after midnight.

He reported a Russian drone strike at around 04:30.

Background: Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Development of Communities and Territories, reported that Russian forces had attacked railway infrastructure in several Ukrainian oblasts on the night of 1-2 October, causing train services to be suspended. One train driver had been injured. He said the strikes had targeted railway infrastructure in border hromadas in the north, including in Konotop. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]
