Large-scale Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia: 1 killed and 9 injured, power and water outages reported

Russian forces launched a large-scale combined attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia using Shahed attack drones and guided aerial bombs on the night of 4-5 October. At least 10 strikes have caused power and water supply disruptions in the city. Residential buildings have been hit. One person has been killed and at least nine have been injured.

Quote: "A combined attack on Zaporizhzhia. The enemy launched at least 10 strikes with Shaheds and guided aerial bombs: there have been power and water outages in some districts. Hits on residential buildings and fires have been reported. Early reports indicate that two people have been injured."

Details: A fire broke out at one of the city's industrial facilities as a result of the attack.

Later, Fedorov reported that the number of casualties had risen.

Quote: "As a result of the combined strike on Zaporizhzhia, one woman has been killed and at least four people injured, including a 16-year-old girl. Medics are providing all the necessary assistance."

Details: Fedorov said that eight apartment buildings, eight houses and several non-residential buildings had been damaged. One apartment building has suffered serious destruction, while others had windows shattered and facades damaged.

Updated: As of the morning of 5 October, nine people were injured in the Russian attack, Fedorov said.

More than 73,000 residents have been left without power.

Quote: "Over 67,000 consumers in the city of Zaporizhzhia and more than 6,000 in the Zaporizhzhia district are without power.

Power engineers have begun work to restore service which is expected to be completed by the end of the day."
