Ukrainian forces strike explosives and ammunition plant in Russia's Dzerzhinsk

The Ukrainian defence forces have hit Russia's Y.M. Sverdlov Plant, a facility producing explosives and ammunition, and an oil transshipment terminal in Russian-occupied Crimea on the night of 5-6 October.

Details: The strike triggered multiple explosions and a large fire in the vicinity of the plant.
The Y.M. Sverdlov Plant, located in the city of Dzerzhinsk in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, is one of Russia's largest producers of explosives.
It manufactures almost every type of ammunition, including aerial and artillery shells, guided air bombs, warheads for anti-tank guided missiles, engineering ammunition and warheads for air defence missile systems.
The plant also cooperates with other defence companies in assembling warheads for unified gliding munitions used across military branches.
The General Staff has also reported that Ukrainian forces have struck the facilities of the joint-stock company Marine Oil Terminal in Feodosia in Russian-occupied Crimea.
The terminal is a multifunctional industrial complex for transferring oil and petroleum products between railway tankers, sea vessels and road transport.
The strike has ignited a significant blaze at the site.
Ukrainian forces have also hit an ammunition depot belonging to the logistics battalion of Russia's 18th Combined Arms Army in occupied Crimea. The final results of the strike are being clarified.
