Quote: "In Poltava, a locomotive depot, power supply systems and traction substations were hit. Administrative and warehouse buildings, as well as rolling stock, were damaged. Fires broke out but were extinguished by firefighters. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Because of the attack, trains on the Kharkiv–Lviv, Lviv–Kharkiv and Kramatorsk–Lviv routes were temporarily delayed – all are now running.
An energy facility was also damaged, leaving more than 1,000 residential properties in Poltava and nearby settlements without power.
A similar situation occurred in Sumy, where residential buildings were damaged and parts of the city were left without electricity."
Details: Kuleba added that despite the attack, railway traffic has been stabilised and critical infrastructure is gradually returning to operation.
He said that the Russians' goal is to disrupt the heating season and paralyse operations at Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine's state-run railway operator.
