Drones attacked the LUKOIL-Korobkovsky gas processing plant in the city of Kotovo in Russia's Volgograd Oblast on the night of 8-9 October 2025. The strike has caused fires on the territory of the facility.

Details: Bocharov claimed that "fires broke out at facilities of the fuel and energy complex in the Kotovo district due to falling debris from downed drones."

Local Telegram channels and eyewitnesses reported that the LUKOIL-Korobkovsky gas processing plant had been targeted.

For reference: The Korobkovsky gas processing plant is the largest natural gas processing business in Russia's Southern Federal District. Its production capacity is 450 million cubic metres of gas feedstock per year. A significant share of the plant's products, including liquefied gases and stable gasoline, is intended for export.

Background: Drones attacked Lukoil's Volgograd Refinery, with local residents reporting more than a dozen explosions on the night of 17-18 September.
