Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that during his latest meeting with US leader Donald Trump, Trump indicated that the United States could technically work to enhance Ukraine's long-range strike capabilities.

Quote: "President Trump can give Ukraine some of the things we discussed. These things can certainly strengthen Ukraine, particularly some long-range capabilities that are very important for us. We first raised this issue in New York last autumn when President Trump was going through the election process.

At the latest meeting, I did not hear a 'no'. I heard that they will work on it at a technical level and consider this possibility."

Details: Zelenskyy added that one option to strengthen Ukraine could be Tomahawk missiles. He said that such steps could compel Russia to "sober up" and come back to the negotiating table.

Quote: "They may sober up a little, sit at the negotiating table. If there is a ceasefire, that fact alone, as I said, will influence the possibility of reaching an agreement later and having a plan. Ending the war will not be simple, but it is definitely a path forward."

More details: The Ukrainian president also said that if Trump secures a ceasefire, he should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Quote: "We will nominate him from Ukraine."
