Russian attacks injure 11 and kill 1 in Donetsk Oblast, utility worker killed by drone in Kherson – photo

The Russian forces have attacked the cities of Sloviansk and Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast, killing 1 civilian and injuring 11, while a Russian drone strike has killed a municipal worker in the city of Kherson.

Details: At 10:55 on 9 October, Russian forces dropped three FAB-250 bombs equipped with UMPK kits on Sloviansk, hitting a residential area. [A UMPK is a guidance kit for converting unguided bombs into precision-guided munitions – ed.] As a result, three women and four men aged between 45 and 79 were injured.
In Kostiantynivka, a 58-year-old civilian woman was killed when an FPV drone struck a car at around 11:35.

Another four people – a 56-year-old woman and three men aged 38, 65 and 71 – sustained blast injuries, head trauma, shrapnel wounds, leg fractures and concussion. They received prompt medical assistance, and doctors assessed the condition of one of the women as serious.
Over 40 residential buildings and 6 cars were damaged in the attacks, the prosecutor's office reports.
Prokudin reported that at about 14:30, Russian forces attacked a vehicle belonging to a utility service with a drone in the Korabelnyi district of Kherson.
A municipal worker driving the vehicle was killed on the spot. Three other workers, aged 44, 48 and 49, sustained concussion, shrapnel and blast injuries and head trauma.
The workers were taken to hospital in a serious condition. Doctors are currently fighting to save their lives.
