Ukraine's Special Operations Forces struck the Saratov oil refinery in Russia's Saratov Oblast on the night of 15-16 October.

Details: The Saratov oil refinery is one of Russia's oldest oil processing plants, formerly known as the Kreking plant, and is part of the Rosneft oil company structure.

Its crude oil refining capacity was 7.2 million tonnes in 2020 and 4.8 million tonnes in 2023.

The facility is involved in supplying fuel to the Russian armed forces.

Background: Exactly one month earlier, on 16 September 2025, Ukraine's Special Operations Forces also struck this same facility.
