Russians attack Lozova in Kharkiv Oblast with modified guided bomb that flew 130 km – photo

Russian forces have attacked the city of Lozova in Kharkiv Oblast using a guided aerial bomb (GAB). This is the first time they have used a GAB to attack the city, deploying a new modification of the bomb that travelled about 130 km.

Details: The prosecutor's office reported that at about 17:40 on 18 October, Russian forces carried out an airstrike on a residential area in Lozova, injuring five people (Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration had earlier reported six casualties).

Quote: "Early reports indicated that the city had been struck by a guided aerial bomb launched from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. The type and range of the munition are being determined. This is the first case of a guided aerial bomb being launched against Lozova."

Details: The prosecutor's office later reported that, based on early findings, the city was attacked with a new modification of a guided bomb – the UMPB-5R (a rocket-powered model) – which travelled approximately 130 km.
