Zelenskyy: Decision made on more helicopters for Ukrainian troops and stronger Air Force

A decision has been made to provide the Ukrainian military with additional helicopters and to expand Air Force capabilities in general to protect energy infrastructure, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced following a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

Details: Zelenskyy said the main part of the meeting focused on energy. The attendees discussed the creation of equipment reserves and support from European partners who can provide the resources that Ukraine needs to strengthen the energy system. Zelenskyy stressed that the Foreign Ministry should step up their work in this area.
There was a separate discussion on the gas sector, specifically fuel storage for the heating season and repair work. Zelenskyy thanked Ukrainian gas engineers and companies for their work and said the government has identified sources of funding for gas purchases.

Details: Zelenskyy added that he has instructed his team to prepare all the documents required to conclude air defence system purchase agreements with the United States. He stressed that it is important to work out every aspect of the future agreements in order to speed up the negotiation process.
