Ukrainian Air Force gives details of Russian guided bombs that hit Odesa Oblast: two out of three were downed

The Ukrainian Air Force has reported that three guided aerial bombs that Russian forces dropped on civilian infrastructure in Odesa Oblast from a Su-34 aircraft on Friday 24 October were long-range. Ukrainian air defence destroyed two of the three bombs.

Details: Russian forces launched three long-range guided aerial bombs from a Su-34 aircraft in an airstrike on Odesa Oblast on the afternoon of 24 October.
Air defence units in Ukraine's south shot down two of the bombs. The third fell in an open area and caused no adverse effects, the military reported.
Background: Oleh Kiper, Head of Odesa Oblast Military Administration, said on 24 October that Russian forces had for the first time used guided aerial bombs to strike civilian infrastructure in Odesa Oblast. He called it a new and serious threat to the region.
