Ukrainian air defence downs 93 Russian drones, 32 UAVs hit targets, attack ongoing

Russia attacked Ukraine with 126 loitering munitions of the Shahed, Gerbera and other types on the night of 28-29 October. Ukrainian air defence forces have downed 93 of these drones.

Details: Starting from 19:00 on 28 October, the Russians launched the drones from Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as from Donetsk, Chauda and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

The Air Force reported that around 80 of the UAVs were Shaheds.

Early reports indicate that as of 09:00, air defence had shot down or jammed 93 Russian drones of the Shahed, Gerbera and other types over the north and east of the country.

Thirty-two attack drones hit targets in 10 locations.
