Russians infiltrating Pokrovsk and crippling Ukrainian logistics – DeepState analysts

DeepState has reported that Russian forces are continuing to infiltrate Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast, gradually increasing their infantry presence and expanding sabotage and reconnaissance activities within the city.

Details: DeepState reports that Russia has been attempting to penetrate the city since July, systematically targeting "breakthrough" points in Ukrainian defences and intensifying pressure by deploying infantry alongside drones and other weapons against Ukrainian positions and logistics.

Weak points have been identified in the settlements of Zvirove and Shevchenko and along the railway from Kotlyne to Pokrovsk, DeepState indicates.

The analysts also note that "several hundred" Russian soldiers have entered the city, continuing to seep deeper into Pokrovsk, staging ambushes on movement routes, planting explosives along roads and conducting combat operations against Ukrainian rear units (electronic warfare/electronic signals intelligence support, artillery, mortars, etc.). Russian drone operators have reportedly been deployed on the southern outskirts of the city, intensifying strikes on logistics and unit movements.

DeepState emphasised that Russian actions intensified following a large-scale infantry advance, which disrupted logistical routes to Myrnohrad and the surrounding area.

Quote: "The worst is that the enemy has managed to break logistics in the direction of Myrnohrad and the whole agglomeration of the city. In addition to infantry ambushes, the enemy is actively using drones, which monitor and strike movements to positions, provisions, etc. Activity of enemy pilots has significantly increased as infantry began to seep into the city and the enemy drone operators help to destroy our logistics, enabling them to slowly absorb the city."

More details: DeepState calls for prioritising the closure of infiltration routes and conducting large-scale mop-up operations by an entire brigade instead of small groups, in order to maintain control of the city.

Quote: "It is critically necessary to block the enemy's infiltration routes that are supposedly being held and to carry out a mop-up operation by a full brigade, not by small special-forces groups, which, unfortunately, will do nothing on their own and we already have such an example in another city. The situation in Pokrovsk is on the verge of critical and continues to worsen to the point where it may be too late to fix."

• Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the main strike group of Russian forces has been concentrated against Pokrovsk.
• Ukrainska Pravda has found that at least 250 Russian soldiers in the city are engaging in firefights and killing Ukrainian personnel on their positions, particularly UAV operators.
• Logistics to Pokrovsk have been reportedly placed under near-total drone control, with Ukrainian defenders covering 10-15 km on foot to reach positions.
