Russia attacks Ukraine with 135 drones overnight: 108 downed, strikes recorded at 13 locations

Russia launched 135 drones against Ukraine on the night of 5-6 November, 108 of which were destroyed by Ukrainian air defence while 27 hit their targets.

Details: The Air Force reported that around 90 of the drones used by the Russians were Shahed loitering munitions.

Early reports indicate that as of 09:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had shot down/jammed 108 Russian Shahed and Gerbera loitering munitions and drones of other types in the north, south and east of the country.

Twenty-seven drones are reported to have struck 13 locations.

The aerial attack was repelled by Ukrainian aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces.
