Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has confirmed a drone strike on the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant in Russia's Bashkortostan on 6 November.

Details: DIU said the long-range drone strike set off a fire in a workshop where agidol, an additive used in aviation fuel, is produced.

The Sterlitamak plant is known to manufacture ionol, aviation fuel and synthetic polymers for the Russian occupation forces and the country's defence industrial base.
Background:
- On the night of 3-4 November, units from Ukraine's Special Operations Forces struck two strategic facilities of Russia's oil refining infrastructure, particularly the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant in the Republic of Bashkortostan (more than 1,300 km from the Ukrainian border).
- Local authorities confirmed explosions and damage on the plant's premises.
