Russia launches large-scale strike on Ukraine's gas infrastructure – ninth attack since early October

Russia carried out a large-scale missile and drone attack on gas infrastructure belonging to the Naftogaz Group, Ukraine's largest national oil and gas company, on the night of 7-8 November, with several hits being reported.

Quote: "One of our employees was injured and is currently receiving medical assistance. Damage was also caused to production equipment."

Details: Koretskyi said emergency workers are currently working at the scene. Specialist personnel will begin repair work as soon as the security situation allows.

Quote: "This is the ninth targeted strike on civilian gas infrastructure since the beginning of October – the latest vicious Russian attack aimed at leaving Ukrainians without gas, heat or electricity in winter."

Previously: A Russian strike hit a gas extraction facility in Poltava Oblast on 1 November, causing a fire to break out.
